An EÉSAD is a domestic help social economy business operated on a non-profit basis. It can be operated under two legal forms, the cooperative or the non-profit organization (NPO).
The richness of an EÉSAD is…
- Providing affordable subsidized services
An EÉSAD service user qualifies for financial assistance, based on income, that can reach up to $25,04 per hour of service. - Providing services throughout the province
There are 100 EÉSAD set across the 17 administrative regions of the province. They serve the entire Quebec territory to meet the needs of the largest possible population base. - Encouraging home care
Domestic help and personal care services delivered by EÉSADs help seniors stay in their own home by providing accessible quality services to them and their loved ones. Helping people age in the comfort of their home contributes to reducing the congestion of the health care system. - Creating sustainable quality employment
One mission of EÉSADs is to create jobs around the province : whether it is in the remotest communities to help stop devitalization, or in larger urban settings, employment created by EÉSADs are high-quality and sustainable. As our population ages, EÉSADs plan to hire and train 5,000 caregivers by 2022.
