Tasks

Heavy housekeeping

  • Washing walls, ceilings and floors;
  • Wash interior and exterior windows;
  • Wash window frames;
  • Wash interior and exterior of cabinets, pantry and cupboards;
  • Move furniture as well as appliances and wash behind them;
  • Wash blinds and fans.

Decluttering

Our team will help you declutter a room or your entire home, ensuring a clean environment where life is good.

  • Help with sorting;
  • Put objects in boxes and/or bags;
  • Wash and reorganize the decluttered spaces.

Moving help

Our team will help you prepare for moving.

  • Help sort and pack into boxes;
  • Identify and move boxes;
  • Move the furniture;
  • Sweep and clean the floors;
  • Unpack the boxes;
  • Help with storage.

Heavy housekeeping is a service that includes work that is carried out occasionally : washing doors, windows, fans, and ceiling.  Moving large objects, moving assistance, decluttering etc.

 

How does our service work?

Our team comes to the user’s home. The tasks to be done are discussed and planned during the request.

The equipment necessary for this work is provided by the cooperative.

 

Eligibility

This service is for people over 65 years old and is offered in Villeray, Petite Patrie, Saint-Michel, Par Extension, Saint-Léonard. Rosemont, Montréal-Nord as well as Rivière-des-Prairies.

 

Grants

Our services are subsidized by la Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) through the Programme d’exonération financière pour les services d’aide domestique (PEFSAD).

 

PEFSAD Program

This coverage includes :

  • A fixed financial assistance :

Fixed assistance per hour of service is granted to any person aged 18 or over who resides in Québec and who holds a health insurance card, regardless of income.

  • A variable financial assistance :

In addition to fixed aid, variable financial aide is granted to anyone aged 65 or over, as well as to people under 65 with a reference from the CLSC. The amount of assistance is determined based on income and family situation. Assistance varies from $2,63 to $21,04 per hour of service.

 

Tax credits

Users over 70 are eligible for a tax credit for home support. This credit can reduce the bill by more than 39%.

A statement to request this credit will be provided to you once a year.

Payment

The payment for our services is made by pre-authorized direct debit. The payment is debited by our accounting department the week following the service, and only when the service has been received. Service cancellations made within a pre-specified period of time are not charged.

Pricing is set according to the situation of our users.

Financial aid is also available.
