At Novaide, we care about people who cares.
The official recognition of home care aids by the Ministère du travail du Québec in 2009 led to the development of various training courses adapted to home care.
Our caregivers have access to the following training :
In-house training program
From the moment of hiring and in the interest of skills development, our employees follow and internal training and shadowing program. Subsequently, we keep on promoting continuous improvement and skills development through various internal measures.
Workplace Apprenticeship Program (PAMT)
This qualification certification and skills certificate for the home caregiver profession is issued by Emploi Québec. A minimum of 3 months is necessary to achieve the required skills.
PDSB, RCR, Alzheimer and other disease training
These trainings are mandatory for all our respite workers .
FAPAQE
This qualification certification is delivered by the Réseau de coopération des EÉSAD and includes 136.5 hours of training.
